Jean-Christophe Corvol

Jean-Christophe Corvol is Professor of Neurology at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital (Paris), head of the Department of Neurology and co-leader of a research team at the Paris Brain Institute (ICM). He is also co-chair of the French clinical research network on Parkinson’s disease (NS-PARK/FCRIN). He has a training in both Neurology (MD in 2001) and Neurosciences (PhD in 2005), and performed a post-doc in neurogenetics (UCSF, 2006-2007). His fields of interest are molecular basis, genetic modifiers and pharmacology of Parkinson’s disease. The approach is transversal combining experimental models, candidate or genome wide genetic association studies and clinical trials. He is an active member of the International Movement Disorders Society, member of the scientific panel of the European Academy of Neurology, member of the steering committee of the French Movement Disorders Society. He has published more than 250 papers in peer review journals (H index=61), and is associate editor of Movement Disorders journal.
