Fruzsina Mezei

Fruzsina Mezei, MSc graduated from Durham University as a Medical Anthropologist and received her master’s degree in Health Policy, Planning and Financing from Eötvös Lóránd University. She started her career at the National Public Health Centre of Hungary (NNK) as Health Policy Advisor planning and implementing evidence-based developments in the field of primary care. Her current focus is health economics and health technology assessment of digital health innovations and pioneering medical technologies. As a health economist, she is an advocate of appropriate value judgement and assessment of health financing scenarios of innovative technologies before moving ahead with a development process. She works with technology developers providing health technology assessment consulting services. As a health economist and digital health consultant for EIT Health France, she is coordinating the European Taskforce for Harmonised Evaluation of Digital Medical Devices (DMDs) – a pan-European effort to facilitate the accessibility of DMDs through harmonising the major elements of a HTA framework across countries.
