Menno Kok

Menno Kok is a biochemist and microbiologist in training, pioneered “white biotech” in Chicago, Groningen (PhD) and Geneva before switching to infectious disease and vaccine development. He always worked at the interface of academia and industry, closely connected to (and involved in) young technology companies as well as health care settings.  After the turn of the century he returned to his home-country to become head of research policy of the Erasmus University Medical Center in Rotterdam, director of Medical Delta and more recently one of the driving forces behind the Innolife consortium (EIT Health). At present he is Managing Director of the Belgium-Netherlands Regional Innovation Hub of EIT Health.
